A fun diy is everything!
This weekend was fun! The holiday was good with family, yummy food and a grateful heart. What else do you need?!
However, the week has started slowly as sickness has fallen on our house. A little bug is making his way through and causing a slight shift in daily activities. My sweet girl had to miss her first day back to pre-school and I just haven’t felt like myself.
Thankfully, the hubs and my son seem immune. Hoping that continues while my daughter is enjoying not having to change out of her jammies. While being sick isn’t welcomed she is rockin those jammies hardcore. Ha!
Meanwhile, my hubby has been working to get my son’s room paint ready, so I can finally get his room finished. It’s only been almost two years (I know)! But at least we are on the verge of gettin it done. Yasss!
We have been co-sleepers with our children and lately my daughter has shown quite a bit of jealousy with my son being able to sleep with us. Resulting in her sneaking into bed with us as well, which makes for a crowded bed! Co-sleeping parents you know what I’m sayin…the struggle is real around here!
This mama can’t take it no more…
So, being that we are a bit under the weather and I need to get some things done around the house. I have found some fun DIY’s I may just tackle this month.

Five DIY’s to Make This Month
This looks like it would work great in my daughters room as a night light. My son, the little lion that he is made his mark in her room and broke her previous one. We’ll see how this replacement plays out.
This past weekend I realized how much I needed a nice cake stand. I bake frequently and of course do on the holidays and would like to showcase them better than my silly little travel cake server. This stood out as a cute idea. It gives me a reason to find a cool vintage plate to work with. We will see.
This idea is a great way to repurpose an old lamp. I am basically working from the ground up in my son’s room so this could be a fun little project.
Who doesn’t have old scarves lying around? This is such a clever way to repurpose them!
I absolutely love the inspiration this provided me. I think this would be a beautiful way to showcase photos in my stairwell. My husband seriously has an addiction to ordering photos as a way to clean out his phone and we are developing quite a collection on hand. This idea would provide opportunity to show them as well as change them out when new ones come along.
Those are my picks for this months diy inspiration!
I hope that you have gotten inspired for the month! There is nothing like creating something yourself or bringing new life to something old. ♥
